Starting from the knowledge he had mastered, al-Ghazali assumed that the essence of the truth is obtained from classified essence (al-hisriyat) and a priori and axiomatic (aal-dharuriyat).
From now on, Al-Ghazali concluded that he had to start from authentic knowledge which was believed to be true. Therefore, he searched the essence of al-fithrah al-ashliyat which led to the doubts until he got the authentic knowledge. It is his parents who make him, a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist. As in hadith, the baby was born upon Fitra. In the debate among Ulama in the meeting, al Ghazali was capable to show his breadth of knowledge. In there, he was greeted with a great honor as a great Ulama. He also studied fiqh, ushul fiqh, mantiq, and tasawuf to Abu Ali al-Faramadhi.Īfter the death of Imam Haramain and al-Faramadhi, al-Ghazali went to Askar attending the discussion forum held by Ministry Nizam Al-Muluk from Saljuk Dynasti. He visited Naisabur and studied to Imam Haramain, Abu al-Ma‘ali al-Juwaini at the Nizamiyah Islamic school. Then, Al-Ghazali lived in Thus to repeat the lesson gained in Jurjan for three years. He was learnt from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Radzakani, then he went to Jurjan to study to Imam Abu Nashr al-Ismaili. Since he was a kid, Al-Ghazali has learnt about fiqh.
Because of his honor, he gets the title Hujjat al-Islam. He was born in Gazaleh, a village in Tus city, Khurasan, Iran in 450H/1058 M.
